Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist coming to SMSJ

The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, will be conducting a Catechetical Summer School at our parish next week, June 14-18.  The sisters will host grades 1-5 in the morning and 6-12 in the afternoon.  There will be Mass each day at 12:00 P.M. followed by lunch for both groups.  For more information please contact the parish office.  This is great blessing for our youth and our entire parish.  For more information about the sisters vist their website: http://www.sistersofmary.org

By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may he, as successor to the Apostle Peter and Vicar of Christ, build your Church into a sacrament of unity, love and peace for all the world. Amen.

A Catholic Men’s Conference is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. ET at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Featuring the theme “Rise Up Oh Men of God!” and a slate of dynamic speakers with unique abilities to call men forth and challenge them to growth in personal holiness, this conference will offer Catholic men of the Diocese of Marquette and beyond an exciting, rejuvenating and energizing opportunity for fellowship and faith education!

Tickets are $30.00 in advance or $35 at the door.  Please contact the parish office for tickets. There is sign-up sheet in the church vestibule for those would like to carpool to this wonderful event.
